MIL-P-70499 (AR)
3.2 Components and assemblies. The components and assemblies
shall comply with all requirements specified on Drawing 11834203
and associated drawings, MIL-W-63150, and with all requirements
specified in applicable specifications and standards.
3.3 Electronic performance characteristics.
3.3.1 Performance. The Power Module Assembly shall have the
performance characteristics specified herein.
3.3.1.1 Electrical. The Power Module Assembly shall operate
from a nominal 28 volts DC supply and provide outputs of 28 volts
DC and 115 volts AC at 400 Hertz.
3.3.1.1.1 Input voltage. The Power Module Assembly shall
operate with 24 through 30 volts DC applied to Terminals A
(positive) and B (Return) of plug P1. Terminal C shall be
connected to ground.
3.3.1.1.2 Input current. The input current through circuit
breaker CB1 to the power supply module shall not exceed 10 amps.
3.3.1.1.3 Input transient protection. The unit shall be able
to withstand a transient surge voltage in accordance with MIL-STD-
704A, Figure 9, Limit 1 (80VDC for 0.1 seconds).
3.3.1.1.4 Output voltages. The voltage across Terminals A
and B of Receptacle J1 shall be equal to the input voltage within
0.5 volts. The voltage across Terminals A and B of Receptacle J2
shall be adjustable within the range 108 to 122 VAC. The ouput
voltage shall be adjusted by turning the screw on the top of the
power supply module case.
3.3.1.1.5 Output currents. The DC output current shall be
protected by a 10 amp curcuit breaker. The AC output shall be
capable of supplying up to 1.044 amps continuously at rated
output voltage.
3.3.1.1.6 Output frequency. The AC output shall have the
form of a sine wave of 400 Hertz ± 1 percent. There shall be a
maximum of 4 percent harmonic distortion into a resistive load.
3.3.1.1.7 Short circuit protection. The power supply shall
be protected against a short circuit condition on the AC output of
any duration. The unit must be recycled to restore output.
3.3.1.1.8 Load transient recovery time. The AC output
voltage shall return to regulation limits within 5 cycles for a
change from no load to full load.
