all applicable drawings and specifications.
3.2 Heat treatment or stress relief.- Heat treatment or
stress relief shall be uniform throughout each lot of body
tubes, body tube assemblies, cone tails and tall cone
assemblies and shall be so conducted as to produce the
physical properties specified on the applicable drawings
and in the applicable specifications.
3.3 Physical properties.- Physical properties required
by the applicable drawings or specifications shall be uniform
throughout each component within the specified tolerances,
3.3.1 Body tubes (See drawing (dwg.) 9223336, 9207531, 9230118
or 9227389).- Welded tubes which are to be used for body tubes shall
not rupture, or indicate flaws as evidenced by leaks or undergo
permanent deformation when tested as specified in 4.4.7.
3.3.2 Hardness of tall cone (See dwg. 9221406).- The
minimum (min.) Rockwell B hardness for the aluminum tail cone
shall be 73 for alloy 7075-T6 and 40 for alloy 6061-T6 when
determined as specified In paragraph 4.4.4.1.
3.3.3 Carburization of tail cone assembly (See dwg.
9207533).-The depth of carburization of the tail cone (dwg.
9207534) when examined assembled to adapter, fin and coupling
shall be .015 min. when determined as specified in 4.4.5.
3.3.4 Pull test for rolled tube, body (See dwg. 9230117).-
